Curious to experience a new way of doing business & life?

Busy is your silent enemy

You’re often told to push harder, hustle more, and grind through the exhaustion, and you get stuck in a loop of overextending, thinking you have to match the speed of others.

But that way of doing business & life burns too many brilliant women like you out and steals the joy from your success.

What if the very thing that sets you apart is discovering your ability to ebb and flow with your energy … rather than fight against it?

Finding your rhythm is your power

As women, our cycles – whether hormonal, energetic, or emotional – hold deep wisdom. Instead of hustling to exhaustion, you have the ability to tune into those rhythms and work from a place of alignment.

Women who work with their energy flow inspire more, achieve more, and stay in the game longer.

These classes are a profound experience of reconnecting with your body and learning to listen to its wisdom rather than just living in your head.

What to expect in this embodiment class

During this 75 minute class, you will work through a series of exercises to experience how to move your body, follow your rhythms and flow, and open yourself up to creating new neuropathways in your body.

Through these guided exercises, breathwork and movement, you will understand and experience the connection between your body and mind, allowing you to release tension and hidden blocked emotions, express yourself authentically, and tap into your natural energy flow.

These classes are a way to move beyond just thinking or talking about what’s blocking you or holding you back and instead feel the shifts directly in your body.

That said, I know how uncomfortable this work can feel if you’ve never experienced this before, especially on Zoom.

I promise this is a safe space without judgment or expectations. Nor are these classes a performance or designed to be fitness sessions, although you may be delighted with how your mobility improves, and you won’t follow any dance routines or choreographed steps.

I don’t typically let my guard down in a “work” space like that, or really in general, so to be able to experience a profound emotional experience and feel safe doing so is a definite testament to you, Karen, and the safe space, expertise, and ability to be yourself permission you give the group.

I felt a little self-conscious about whether I was doing it ‘right’ and whether what I was wearing was okay, but I realised how good it was to move and feel the music.

You have a lovely way of holding space, and I felt very comfortable. The shaking off/getting rid of unwanted emotions was powerful, as was the drawing things in – that was quite lovely.

Working with you has helped me to consciously slow down. I am trying hard not to rush as much and enjoying going slower. The session was perfectly timed and it has helped with clarity around the next steps and growing my business.

Hi! I’m Karen Skidmore

I’m a business strategist, leadership mentor, sound healing and embodiment practitioner with 30+ years of commercial experience and two decades of running consulting and leadership companies.

My operations background and strategic thinking blend beautifully with my deep connection to using intuition and embodied wisdom, a rare combination of skills in the world of business and leadership.

Having experienced peri-meno-burnout in my 40s, I know the dangers of having the wrong kind of business and pushing too hard to achieve goals that weren’t right for me, especially as a woman working through her menopause with our ever-increasing pace of business and life.

I’m now in my mid-50s, on a mission to end the destructive path many female business leaders and founders are on, where the only choices seem to be push on or drop out, and to show them how to embrace a new rhythm and flow in their professional and personal lives to fulfil their full potential.

FAQs

Who are these classes for?

These workshops are designed for women business leaders and founders who feel overwhelmed by their workload at times, have a habit of saying yes to too many projects, and are curious to find a better flow with their work. If you’re ready to break free from the cycle of constant busyness and find a sustainable way to succeed, this is for you.

Do I need any prior knowledge or experience with embodiment?

No prior experience is needed. These are beginner workshops to introduce you to the concept of embodiment. All exercises are accessible for anyone looking to create a more aligned and fulfilling approach to work.

I have mobility and/or energy issues. Can I still join?

Yes, absolutely. These workshops aren’t performances or choreographed dance classes; all exercises can be done seated while still receiving the same benefits.

That said, my invitation to you is to ensure you know your limits and complete the workshop within your energy and mobility levels.

What makes these classes difference from other business workshops?

Unlike typical business strategy and productivity training, these workshops focus on embodied success, which means you will be experiencing how to work with your natural energy and rhythms instead of pushing against them. It’s about sustainable success that honours your well-being, not just getting more done.

Will there be a recording?

No, these are live workshops, and there won’t be a recording.

This is to create a safe space and remove any barriers to feelings of self-consciousness. As this work can feel uncomfortable, even for those who have been doing it for a while, knowing there is no recording can hugely help with this.

Will I have to have my camera on?

It’s important for me, as your facilitator, to see you during the session and ensure you are moving in the right way for each exercise.

I know how uncomfortable this work can feel if you’ve never experienced this before, especially on Zoom. I promise this is a safe space without judgment or expectations. If you don’t want to see yourself, which can help with any self-conscious thoughts, you can turn off your self-view in your Zoom settings once you join the call.

What should I expect from the session?

After a warm welcome from me, you’ll be invited to turn off your mics (this is a no-speaking class). We will work through a series of exercises to experience how to move your body with the music, follow your rhythms and flow, and open yourself up to creating new neuropathways in your body.

These classes aren’t a performance nor designed to be fitness sessions, although you may be delighted with how your mobility improves, nor do you have to follow any routines or steps. If you do have any mobility issues, please let me know at the start.

What kind of room or space do I need to be to join you?

All these workshops are being held over Zoom, so be in a room where you know you won’t be disturbed and a space big enough to move your arms around and take a few steps in; the width and length of two yoga mats is perfect.
