In The Academy we focus on working on a strategy and business model to ensure you reach the life goals you’ve decided to go for; whether that’s freedom to spend more time with family and friends, creating a business that works without you, increased profitability and growth, more time for adventures and travel or simply a less stressful working week to meet your health and wellness needs.

Hi, I’m Karen Skidmore, Founder and Leader of The Academy.
One of the big lessons I’ve had over the years of running my own global coaching & consulting business is that I can’t do it all myself. I’ve held myself back on so many opportunities because my belief around playing big meant that I was going to be crazy busy, travelling up and down the country and managing a tonne of clients.
Because I didn’t want that stress or worry about whether I’d have the energy levels to keep up, I would subconsciously pull my myself away and tell myself stories of how I liked keeping my beautiful business small. Well, believe me when I tell you that you can play bigger without having to work yourself to the bone.

How does The Academy work?
Everyone in this amazing group of entrepreneurs is working towards their own business and marketing strategy that’s going to work best for them, their clients, their way of working and their lifestyle. We follow the themes of the three core pillars – tech, team and systems – and ensure the right mix and focus is there for your way of doing business.
The Academy is going to give you the right teaching, mentoring and on-going support to ensure your marketing and business growth strategy stays focused, on track and gets you the results you know you want and deserve. Let’s show you what goes on at The Academy so you understand what’s on offer here and why this mix of real-life business and marketing support is going to be so powerful.
1. Initial Strategy Session
To kick off your year of working together in The Academy, you and me will be talking 1-2-1 to get you absolutely clear on what your strategy is going to be. Between us, we will work out a plan, set milestones to work to and get you focused on what you need to start working on first.
We will work on this plan together and through your Accountability Reports, regular group calls, 90 Day Planning Mornings and Mastermind Days, we will be able to monitor your progress. If you go off course, we can get back on track. Or if you need to adapt or change your goals or plans, we can re-evaluate and get you on that new course.
2. Regular Accountability Group Calls
Every two to three weeks, you, me and the other Academy members call in for a 90 minute group conference call. The agenda is simple – an open forum Q&A session and the opportunity to check in with your progress throughout the month.
We also mix up the calls around specific training sessions and special Mastermind Calls where you get the opportunity to put yourself forward for a Hot Seat to present your marketing dilemma, challenge or opportunity. Not only do you get my honest thoughts and opinions about what you could take action on, the rest of the group also gives their own feedback – giving you options and ideas to take action on. At the end of your Hot Seat, you commit to sharing with the group your intended actions.
And it’s not just you – the one who’s in the Hot Seat – that gets the benefit. Listening in and thinking about someone else’s dilemma, challenge or opportunity almost ALWAYS opens up doors and ways forward in your own business. That’s the massive benefit of masterminding … the group process of thinking through someone else’s problem can allow you to shift forward on your own problem too.
Each call will be recorded too. If you aren’t able to make it one week, then you can listen back. And even if you have made it live, I can guarantee that you will pick up one or two more nuggets from the replay.
3. Mastermind Days
Four times a year, we also meet up together for a “real life” event. These days allow you to take precious time OUT of your day-to-day doing of your business so you can work ON your strategies and business processes.
Agendas for these days are a mix of specific marketing trainings, individual Hot Seats and strategic overview of your business revenue streams and marketing campaigns.
Each day takes place at Tylney Hall in Hook, Hampshire which is only 5 minutes from junction 5 on the M3. Just a short taxi drive from Hook train station and an hour’s drive from Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Accommodation will be available if you need to arrange an overnight stay.
4. 90 Day Planning Mornings
Three times a year, we also get together to create a 90 Day Plan that will get you focused on where to spend your time, energy and resources attracting the most profitable clients to your business.
These 90 Day Plans are critical to mapping out what needs doing to develop your business whilst juggling your day-to-day of your business, whilst also allowing me to support you and give you the right resources to help you reach your business goals. These mornings take place virtually, so no need for any travelling. And if you are unable to join in live on the day, they are also recorded so you can do your “homework” in your own time.
There will also be the opportunity to schedule a 30 minute 1-2-1 tactic call with me after these events to help you clarify anything in your plan and answer any questions you may have personally.
5. Weekly Accountability Reports
Each Friday, you will be asked to submit your Accountability Report. Although a simple exercise, please don’t underestimate the power of doing this. This becomes your opportunity to take 10 to 20 minutes out of your busy week and reflect on how the last 2 weeks have gone as well as what you are committing to getting done next.
Whether you’ve had an amazing week or experienced a serious s@!t storm, there is always something valuable you can learn from and support you moving forward.
6. Unlimited Marketing Critiques
Yup, you’ve read this right … get access to my copywriting expertise whenever you need it.
Whatever marketing you produce – web pages, direct mail copy, emails or presentations – you can send to me for a critique. This could potentially save you hours of wasted marketing and massively help increase your results and sales.
7. Access to The Hub; my entire online training library
Over the years, I have created a number of online programmes and products focused on creating marketing systems, including Get Clients Fast, Clicks To Clients and Webinar Funnel Mastery. As soon as you join you’ll get access to my entire library.
8. Opportunity to upgrade to include personal mentoring
Some of what you will be going through during the year will need more personalised support. With this mind, you have the option of upgrading your Academy membership to include private mentoring calls direct with me. These sessions are completely private and confidential and will give you an opportunity to go deeper into specific topics or business challenges.

Everything above is included in your annual investment of The Academy, including lunch and refreshments during our Mastermind Days. The only additional expenses for you to take into account are travel to and from the Mastermind Days and overnight accommodation if you decide it’s appropriate.
What’s the investment?
Let’s face it, the biggest investment you’re going to be making in a programme such as The Academy is your time. If you’re seriously considering what is on offer here, you know you’re always going to be hitting the glass ceiling on your income because you haven’t got the right tech, team or systems in place to help you grow.

Access to The Hub’s online courses and programmes would be in excess of £3,000 if you decided to purchase all courses separately. And a morning’s face to face mentoring with me is priced at £1,500. But because I know I have the tech, team and systems to help me deliver The Academy to you at high standard of care and attention, I want to offer you this whole programme from just £7,000 +VAT.
There is the opportunity to upgrade and buy private mentoring time with me. Plus we can arrange a payment plan for you if this helps with your cashflow. But I know how powerful it can be to spend a year focusing on the 3 core pillars of playing big; tech, team and systems.
